I will allow you guys to judge me based on my playing style. Well, this is basically me as a Mario Kart Wii player. I want to work my way up to first on my own. I use strategic items because if I'm in last place, I don't want a lazy press of a button to carry me to first (bullet bill, super star, mega mushroom, etc). For vs mode, I have the CPUs on hard, the courses on "in order" and the items on "strategic". I did manage to get at least one star in all cups of mirror mode, but I'm a little rusty because I haven't played in a while, so I won't be able to do this again for a long time.
#MARIO KART WII CUSTOM CHARACTERS BANDIT MANUAL#
In-game settings: I use manual drifting so that I have access to the mini-turbo (who the hell uses automatic drifting anyways?) I usually do 150 CC with both karts and bikes on because it's a nice challenge for me, but not blood-boiling hard like mirror mode. This feels more natural than doing it vertically with the Wii remote and nunchuck. To pop a wheelie, you would need to point your wheel slightly upwards and to do tricks, all you need to do is give it a light shake. I also feel that popping a wheelie and doing tricks is the easiest this way.
#MARIO KART WII CUSTOM CHARACTERS BANDIT PLUS#
Plus using the 1 and 2 buttons as opposed to the A and B buttons feels more comfortable to me. But anyway back to the review I love the way this. The wheel is big, but not too big, allowing me to get a good grip on it. I must say that Mario has came along way from where it started, I dont know if anybody remembers when Mario first came out he was just a block character that would jump and shot fireballs from his month lol but now Mario is round and easy to relate to. It's loose, but just the right amount of loose for me.Ĭontrols: The Wii remote + Wii wheel feels the most natural to me. The reason I use the Magikruiser is because it's fast, has good acceleration and has a near perfect drift. I generally prefer bikes because of the capability of popping a wheelie and the looser drifting, though most other bikes I used have TOO loose of drifting.
Kart: I feel the most comfortable using the Magikruiser because I feel that it is the most balanced. I also think she's a fun way to show that bottom tier does not mean unusable! She's fast, but her handling isn't very good, so that encourages me to be more careful. I main as her now simply because I knew her character all too well and I'm used to it. I initially mained her for the feeling of nostalgia when I first got my Wii back, but I got a little TOO comfortable maining as her (I still main as her a decade later as a 16 year-old, kinda embarrassing). However, I got a new Wii in 2018 and bought Mario Kart Wii for my 13th birthday!Ĭharacter: I main Baby Peach. I started playing when I was just 6 years old, but then I lost my Wii in 2012 when we moved.
